COLUMBIA, Mo. — In his four seasons as a college head coach, Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz has always served as his own offensive coordinator and play-caller. While he tries to salvage the Tigers’ current season and fix his troubled offense, Drinkwitz is open to calling an audible on his role.
Asked Tuesday if he’d consider giving up play-calling, Drinkwitz said he’s “not at all opposed” to having another coach call plays.
But not this year.
“I dream about it all the time, honestly. Usually on third downs,” he said, joking.
“I’m not opposed to that at all," he said.
