It was an ugly start, but Mizzou football was able to break through for a touchdown late in the first half to go up 10.
The second-to-last drive of the half finally got it going.
Mizzou ran the football by using Kelly Bryant and a little trickery on a reverse to Johnathon Johnson. The runs got the Tigers to the 3, and on first and goal, Bryant hit Albert Okwuegbunam for the easy touchdown.
That play was particularly smart because the South Carolina defense was able to stop Mizzou’s run game inside the 5 on four-straight tries the last time Mizzou was down there.
