Mizzou football hardly satisfied with 2017 progress

COLUMBIA, MO. • For the quarterback and his senior classmates, Missouri needed a winning season last year to salvage some credibility. Now that the Tigers crossed that milestone, getting back to a bowl game for the first time in three years, Drew Lock and Mizzou’s veteran players don’t want to stake their legacy on a 7-6 record and Texas Bowl appearance.

“I know everyone in this senior class … we’re looking to give this state, this whole team, something more memorable than a 7-6 season,” Lock said after Saturday’s Black and Gold Game. “It was a good season.
