COLUMBIA, Mo. • Favored by three touchdowns, No. 22 Missouri headed to the locker room trailing Connecticut — yes, the UConn Huskies — 6-2 at halftime Saturday at Memorial Stadium, after one of the most lifeless halves of offensive football Mizzou fans have seen in years.
The Tigers managed to cross UConn’s 40-yard line just once in eight possessions, which happened to be the only series led by freshman quarterback Drew Lock. Replacing strarter Maty Mauk for his one designated seires, Lock drove the Tigers to UConn’s 23-yard line, but the Tigers couldn’t come away with points as kicker Andrew Baggett missed a 40-yard field goal.
