COLUMBIA, MO. • Two years ago after blasting Missouri by 34 points, Kentucky coach John Calipari told Tigers coach Kim Anderson not to overanalyze his team based on the outcome at Rupp Arena.
“Don’t judge this game,” Calipari later said he told Anderson, “because that’s as good as we are.”
Mizzou’s return to Lexington on Saturday didn’t end any better for Cuonzo Martin’s Tigers as Calipari’s Wildcats played their most complete game in months and might have further exposed a Mizzou defense that continues to stray from Martin’s core principles.
While Mizzou fans continue to buzz about the possible return of freshman Michael Porter Jr.
