When Caleb Grill committed to Missouri on April 20th, 2023 I’m not sure many Mizzou fans knew what they were getting. Grill, prior to Missouri had spent time at Iowa State, then UNLV, and then back to Iowa State over a period of four years. His output over those four seasons was what you might call uneven.
He’d never averaged double figures but had shown he could blow up. As a sophomore at UNLV he dropped 27 points on Alabama on 7-12 from three. Then in his last season at Iowa State he was a flame thrower against North Carolina (31 points) and Texas Tech (24 points).
