Missouri freshman basketball player Jeremiah Tilmon was arrested Friday morning for possession of alcohol by a minor and released on summons, according to University of Missouri Police.

According to Capt. Brian Weimer, Tilmon was pulled over on Tiger Avenue, just south of Hospital Drive at 1:42 a.m. Friday for failing to stay in a single lane. Upon approaching Tilmon, an officer smelled alcohol inside Tilmon’s vehicle and gave him a sobriety test.

Weimer said Tilmon was above the threshold of “zero tolerance” but under the limit of driving while intoxicated. Under Missouri law, persons under 21 years of age can be cited for minor in possession if they are visibly intoxicated.
