Mizzou Baseball’s offense again fell flat Saturday as the team lost to Georgia, 5-2. The Tigers have now lost 10 consecutive games, tying the program record losing streak that was set in 2021 under Steve Bieser.
Mizzou struck first, scoring two runs in the opening inning. Kaden Peer singled through the right side with two outs before Cayden Nicoletto sent a flyball just beyond the right-center field wall for a home run.
The entire stadium had to wait for confirmation from the umpires after Bulldogs right fielder Robbie Burnett made a leaping attempt to rob the homer.
