Mizzou Baseball falls short against Alabama in SEC Tournament

Mizzou Baseball’s season came to a close Tuesday morning at the SEC Tournament with a 4-1 loss to Alabama.

The Tigers finished the year with a 16-39 record and a .291 winning percentage, the lowest winning percentage in the program’s modern history. Steve Bieser’s 2021 team finished with 15 wins but also had fewer losses.

Mizzou and the Crimson Tide were locked in a stalemate after the first three innings as both starting pitchers got off to strong starts. Sam Horn went three frames for the Tigers, holding Alabama scoreless with two hits and two punchouts but allowing five walks.
