Mizzou Baseball blew a late lead against kU Tuesday, falling 6-5. The Tigers have now lost 12 straight games, extending a program record losing streak, and were swept in this season’s Border War.
Mizzou starter Josh McDevitt couldn’t find the plate to begin his outing, and the Jayhawks took advantage with three runs in the opening inning.
An infield single by Derek Cerda and walk by Brady Ballinger set the stage for Jackson Hauge, who hit a three-run homer to right-center field.
McDevitt bounced back with a solid second inning, recording two strikeouts, and exited the game after 52 pitches.
