The Week 3 matchup between No. 25-ranked Missouri football and Louisiana has a new kickoff time set for Saturday.
Originally, the two teams were set to begin at 3 p.m. CT at Faurot Field; the time has now been moved up to noon.
Sources told PowerMizzou that the reason for the rescheduled start time was due to the extreme heat temperatures, which has a projected high of 96 degrees according to AccuWeather and the Weather Channel.
"Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our student-athletes and the game-day experience for our fans," Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said in a statement.
