Missouri Tigers don’t have enough in 2nd half in loss

The Missouri Tigers played solid defense throughout Saturday’s game against the Kentucky Wildcats, but in the end, too many turnovers and too many fouls gave the victory to the home team. Mizzou lost 71-59 to drop to 8-5 on the season and 0-1 in the conference. Kentucky now is 10-3 and 1-0.

Mizzou held Kentucky to only nine points in the first 10 minutes of the game and built a 17-9 lead early on. But the Wildcats got their offense going, led by big man Nick Richards, who finished the game with 21 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks.
