Missouri beats Wagner 99-55 as Michael Porter Jr. no-shows

Jordan Barnett stole the ball on Wagner’s opening possession and took off for a two-handed dunk, and Missouri never looked back in the Tigers’ 99-55 win over the Seahawks on Monday.

The win came in the Tigers’ second straight game without top freshman Michael Porter Jr., who was announced as day-to-day because of a left leg injury shortly before tipoff. Junior Kevin Puryear started in Porter’s place.

Tigers head coach Cuonzo Martin was expected to address Porter’s status along with reserves Mitchell Smith and C.J. Roberts in his postgame press conference.

Missouri jumped out to a 17-3 lead in the first six minutes of the game, powered by the twin towers of Jeremiah Tilmon and Jontay Porter.
