The 2019-20 Missouri basketball season will have plenty of highlights if nothing else. One of those gems will be an upset win over the No. 11 Auburn Tigers.
Missouri’s Dru Smith and Xavier Pinson each scored 28 points to lead the Mizzou Tigers over Auburn 85-73 on Saturday at Mizzou Arena. With the win, Missouri scored a signature victory for the year after coming close against a number of ranked teams earlier this season.
Mizzou (12-13, 4-8 SEC) and Auburn (22-3, 9-3) went back and forth over the first 13 minutes of the game before Pinson’s layup put Mizzou on top by one point at the 6:48 mark.
