MU athlete Harold Brantley was involved in a serious car accident south of Columbia Sunday afternoon. The Tigers defensive tackle was seriously injured in the accident. He was accompanied by 21-year-old Madeline Stock, who plays on the Missouri Women’s basketball team.
Stock is reported to have minor injuries.
Brantley and Stock were driving on U.S. 63 when he veered off to the right side of the road and struck a guardrail, flipping the car, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Brantley recorded 54 tackles and five sacks in fourteen games for the Tigers last season, as well as receiving an honorable mention All-SEC team from the Associated Press.
