Misery for Mizzou in OT at Boston College

CHESTNUT Hill, Mass. — Missouri’s day couldn’t have started any better Saturday at Boston College. Just four minutes into the action at Alumni Stadium, the Tigers had thrown a touchdown pass and forced a turnover on BC’s first play from scrimmage.

The rest of the day?

Not so great for the visitors on this crisp fall afternoon in New England, where the defense struggled as usual and crumbled in the deciding minutes. Boston College survived MU’s game-tying field goal in the final seconds of regulation and clinched the 41-34 victory in overtime on Brandon Sebastian’s walk-off interception in the end zone, setting off a field-storming by the BC students as Missouri players and coaches found their way to the locker room.
