COLUMBIA, Mo. — He couldn’t figure out how to pronounce the coach’s name. Micah Wilson examined it as he strolled into his dad’s bedroom. It was 9 p.m. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the high school junior was thrilled by his newest Twitter follower.
“Hey, Dad,” Wilson said, “some guy from Boise State named … E … Ellie … uh ... Drink … anyway, he just followed me.”
Wilson knew by now that this was a recruiting tactic, so he eagerly followed the offensive coordinator back. Soon he and E-li-ah Drink-witz were talking frequently about faith and football.
