The nominees were announced for the 2021 McDonald’s All-American class, and several future Tigers found themselves on the list.
While the actual game will not be played for the second year in a row (stupid Covid), athletes can still move up the list and be put on the (virtual) 24-person team based on their play this season. Even if they don’t make the final list, each athlete can still say they were a nominee, which is pretty cool.
On the men’s side, Springfield Kickapoo’s Anton Brookshire (no. 91 national rank), who will be donning a Tiger uniform next year, made the nomination list for the Midwest region.
