How Mizzou football adjusted to maximize run game against South Dakota

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football’s third touchdown drive in a season-opening defeat of South Dakota belonged to running back Cody Schrader.

The drive went a little something like this: after two Brady Cook passes and a run from the quarterback, new offensive coordinator Kirby Moore turned to Schrader. He ran up the middle for 6 yards. Then 12 yards. Then another 10 yards, nullified by a holding penalty. After a false start, targeting penalty and couple short passes, it was back to Schrader.

He took a handoff for 13 yards. Then three yards. Six yards. Five yards.
