During Luther Burden III’s happy news conference this past weekend, he slid in (or perhaps slipped in) a glimpse into his pass-catching past — and his future.
So the St. Louis product and Missouri receiving great was drafted in the second round by the Chicago Bears.
In 2023 for Mizzou, Burden had 86 catches for 1,212 yards. In 2024, he had 61 for 676.
He joins a Chicago team with some proven pass catchers.
Asked if it’ll be a mind shift to not be the No. 1 target, Burden said: “No, I feel like this year prepared me for that.
