Former Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel arrested for alleged DWI

Pinkel, 73, was arrested at 11:46 p.m. Monday at an unspecified location in Camden County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report. According to that report, he was held at the Camden County Jail and then released.

While the highway patrol's report says he’ll be charged with a DWI, court records did not show charges filed as of Tuesday afternoon. It’s not clear what led to Pinkel’s arrest or if any field tests were conducted.

He could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday.

Pinkel, a College Football Hall of Fame coach, holds a career record of 191-110-3 from tenures at Toledo and MU.
