First, no Les Miles. Now, possibly, no Fournette. LSU’s offense runs through the 235-pound running back, but interim coach Ed Orgeron says the SEC’s leading rusher will be a game-time decision because of an ankle injury. Fournette, who averages 128.7 rushing yards per game, hurt his ankle in preseason camp and has since re-aggravated it twice in games, most recently against Auburn last week. With three crucial SEC tests coming up next — Florida, Ole Miss and Alabama — LSU might opt to rest Fournette on Saturday and lean on backup Derrius Guice and his 8.2 yards per carry.
