Eli Drinkwitz backs Brady Cook as Mizzou's quarterback entering Tennessee game

COLUMBIA, Mo. — With three games left in the regular season, Missouri football coach Eli Drinkwitz has made it clear he’s not changing quarterbacks.

Drinkwitz heard the boos from the home crowd Saturday when Brady Cook lost an unforced fumble and later missed an open receiver downfield, two of the Tigers’ many breakdowns in the 21-17 loss to Kentucky. But as Mizzou (4-5, 2-4 SEC) heads to No. 5 Tennessee (8-1, 4-1) on Saturday, Cook earned the coach’s vote of confidence.

“I hear the same thing you all hear. I have only one headset on (during games), so I can hear everybody else (in the crowd) give me ideas,” Drinkwitz said.
