Gates mentioned center Shawn Phillips Jr. will be ready to go on Wednesday against Minnesota but gave no updates on Trent Pierce, Annor Boateng and Trent Burns.

“Early season, it’s all about getting some type of rhythm with your new guys, rhythm with the culture, rhythm with what’s going on, and meshing everyone together,” Gates said Thursday.
