COLUMBIA, MO. • After watching Michael Porter Jr. sweat through the first half of the NBA draft Thursday night, Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin could appreciate what the former player contributed to his program, albeit while playing only 53 minutes on the floor — and less than three at Mizzou Arena.
“The minute he said he was going to Missouri it changed the trajectory of our program,” Martin said on a conference call Friday, the day after he sat with Porter in New York where the Denver Nuggets made him the No. 14 pick in the draft.
