COLUMBIA, MO. • Coming off the wildest comeback in bowl history, newly hired Missouri defensive coordinator DeMontie Cross is getting resettled in the college town he left 18 years ago. Cross, an MU safety from 1994-96, has made several coaching stops since serving two years as a graduate assistant at his alma mater in 1997-98.
Now he's back to lead Barry Odom's defense and coach the team's linebackers. Cross, TCU's linebackers coach the last three years, met with reporters before Tuesday's Mizzou basketball game to discuss his new job.
Q: How did you and Barry get together on this and what was your feeling on this job this time?
