Today we’re not talking about the new Pope. Honestly that news was hard to avoid yesterday. I’m sure there will be plenty of more memes and photoshopped Chicago style hot dogs and Bears jokes... but I’m gonna talk about the news that the NCAA granted Devan Cambridge a 7th season of eligibility.
If you’re a hoops junkie you’ll probably remember Cambridge from his days at Auburn. He began his career in the 2019-20 season (the one that ended without an NCAA Tournament thanks to COVID), he then played as a sophomore in the ‘season that didn’t count’ the next year in 2020-21, and then his junior season at Auburn was the 2021-22 season.
