COLUMBIA, MO. • A 23-year-old Columbia man drove his Volkswagen Passat through Mizzou Arena and onto the basketball court early Sunday morning and caused an estimated $100,000 worth of damage, MU police Major Brian Weimer said Monday.
Nathaniel Conant turned himself into MU police Sunday afternoon after officers determined he was the suspect. He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and first-degree property damage. He posted bond of $4,500 for the burglary charge and $6,000 for the property damage charge, according to Boone County Sheriff’s arrest log.
In the school’s online directory, Conant is listed as an events assistant for the SEC Network as part of MU’s athletics department.
