COLUMBIA, MO. • Shortly after the Arizona Cardinals drafted Missouri center Evan Boehm, his linemate Connor McGovern found a home in Denver. The Super Bowl champion Broncos selected McGovern with the fifth pick of the fifth round, the No. 144 selection overall.
McGovern, a three-year starter at both guard and tackle for Missouri, agreed to play out of position last fall and handle the left tackle position. The Fargo, N.D., native is expected to play guard in the NFL.
