Terry Beckner Jr was the rare (unanimous) five star recruit that stayed near home to play for the Tigers. Coming out of East St. Louis, he was the number two overall recruit in the country, the number one player in the state of Illinois, and had every All-American honor.
He joined what was a pretty stacked group in 2015 along a line that included Charles Harris, Marcell Frazier and Josh Augusta, and started five games in an exciting season that showed flashes of what would become. Unfortunately, his first two seasons on campus would end early in the year due to ACL tears.
