Are Mizzou's late camp changes to offensive line an 'emergency' situation?

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Is that the sound of emergency glass breaking?

Missouri, for the third day in a row, deployed preseason All-American guard Cayden Green at left tackle during Wednesday’s practice, continuing a three-position offensive line shake-up just over two weeks before the 2025 season starts.

While it’s still no guarantee that the personnel shift that has appeared in practice this week will carry over into the season, each day it persists raises the chances that it’s less of a strong message sent by the coaching staff and more of a concrete possibility.

Evidently unhappy with the competition between Jayven Richardson and Johnny Williams IV at left tackle, coach Eli Drinkwitz relegated both to the second team this week and bumped Green outside.
