COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri has landed Antar Thompson — again.
The defensive tackle who played at Maplewood-Richmond Heights signed with the Tigers in 2013 then took a detour away from college football is back on the recruiting market and on Tuesday gave Mizzou a verbal commitment. A two-time All-Metro selection in 2011 and 2012, Thompson relaunched his playing career at Highland, Kan., Community College and committed to Louisville earlier this summer. Thompson used Twitter on Tuesday to first drop his pledge to the Cardinals then commit to the Tigers.
Thompson didn't qualify academically when he first signed with Mizzou and instead enrolled at a Mississippi junior college.
