COLUMBIA, Mo. — Through two games, Missouri’s offense reminded college football analyst Clark Brooks of Gummy Joe.
Unsure who that is? Nobody would blame you if so.
Gummy Joe is a character from “The Simpsons,” and not a commonly referenced one at that. He made one appearance in the show’s long residency on TV, has one tooth and speaks one line before using his last remaining incisor — he calls it “Old Chomper” — to crack open a can.
“Essentially,” said Brooks, an analyst for On3.com, “I think that dude has more teeth than Missouri's offense.
