In expected fashion, No. 20 Missouri cruised pass Massachusetts for a 42-6 win on Saturday.
It was a dominant — 521 total yards of offense for the hosts to 124 for the visitors — but not a particularly flashy win for Mizzou. The Tigers leaned on short passing, its running back tandem and a hefty time of possession to suffocate UMass without ever really looking particularly lively.
MU moved to 5-0 on the season by completing a 4-0 run through its nonconference opponents, winning those games by a combined score of 197-53. The Tigers have now won nine consecutive homecoming games.
