Last season, they finished 9-7-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference, falling 2-1 to the University of Northern Iowa in the quarterfinals of the MVC tournament. They lost nine seniors after the 2015 seniors and will need to replace the senior talent quickly if they want to have success.
Midfielder and graduated senior Alix Opfer led the team’s success last year with eight goals, four assists and almost 30 shots. Six of the nine seniors leaving were part of the team’s attack. The Bears are also losing their goalkeeper Jessica Perry, who had 65 saves and two defenders.
However, with seven new recruits along with plenty of returning talent, it shouldn’t be difficult to find their attack.
