Wildlife Code of Missouri sees changes regarding paddlefish, snagging definition and more

Snagging paddlefish in the near future will mean brushing up on the latest regulation changes regarding fishing methods, commercial fishing and more. Let's dive in!

Following a public comment period earlier this year, the Missouri Conservation Commission gave its final approval to several regulation changes to the Wildlife Code of Missouri by the Department of Conservation.

The regulation changes will become effective Feb. 28, 2022.

Time to get snaggin'

Snagging finally has a formal definition established. Previously, snagging went undefined in the Code.

Snagging refers to the popular method for taking a fish, like paddlefish, that do not go after baited hooks.
