It's not the first time Dan Prater has seen a snake snack on a fish, but he did catch the latest feeding experience on camera while canoeing the Current River.
Prater, a Fenton resident, has spent much of his free time paddling since he first launched about two decades ago. He's floated in water all over the nation and has seen all manner of wildlife, including watching a bald eagle and great blue heron in an aerial dog fight.
Prater was on a three-day canoe trip u2015 collecting trash left by others and even camping out in Cave Spring to escape a thunderstorm u2015 starting Aug.
