In 2015, Missouri State baseball was eliminated by the Arkansas Razorbacks 3-2 in the super regional round of the NCAA Tournament.
Matt Fultz has thought of that day ever since.
Fultz, now a student assistant coach for the Bears, was the starting catcher for the Bears the previous three seasons.
Fast forward to 2017; Fultz stood by and watched his team dogpile at the pitcher’s mound at the same stadium, against the same team that ended his season in 2015.
“We told (the guys on the 2015 team) before that we obviously want this for this team,” Fultz said.
