My parents asked me way back in August whether or not they should make the trip for family weekend.
Being from central Illinois and knowing that I would be covering the football game, my answer was no. They wouldn’t be able spend any precious time with their baby boy and it just wouldn’t be worth it.
They didn’t need to make that five and a half hour drive with my little sister in the back seat when they got rid of the car with the built-in DVD player.
Without Mom and Dad coming this weekend, I am now free of any questions they would ask about the Missouri State football team.
