A new prep school basketball tournament will make its way to Springfield this week and it will feature a number of Division I athletes in advance of next week's Bass Pro Tournament of Champions.
The SWMO Prep Invitational is an eight-team, three-day postgrad basketball tournament that will take place from Thursday to Saturday with a bonus game on Sunday at Baptist Bible College.
Former Missouri State assistant coach Jake Headrick serves as the tournament director as he brings this tournament to the area.
Included in the field are many local standouts, Division I commits, a pair of Missouri State signees and some of the best prep schools in the nation.
