Senior Ashton Judd scored half of her 30 points in the final nine minutes as West Plains completed its quest for a state title on Saturday.
The Zizzers defeated Whitfield 50-37 in the Class 5 Show-Me Showdown at JQH Arena.
The outcome was a complete turnaround from 2021, when Whitfield prevailed 50-34.
“These girls were on a mission since last year,” said Coach Scott Womack.
The Zizzers controlled the pace and trailed only once, 3-2 early in the first quarter. Still, the outcome was more in doubt than the final score would imply.
