What was once thought to be a battle between coaching brothers will now be a chance for one team to rebound from a tough start.
Bolivar hosts Willard Friday night on the campus of Southwest Baptist University in the News-Leader Game of the Week presented by Murney Associates, Realtors. Rather than the “Roweton Bowl” that was expected when the schedule came out, the game now features two Central Ozark Conference teams seeking their first wins of the season.
Bolivar won the COC-Small Division championship 13 consecutive times under coach Lance Roweton, who left the Liberators to become the principal at Halfway High School in the offseason.
