Waynesville tailback Shen Butler-Lawson Jr. grabbing Division I offers

A talented area tailback is starting to attract Division I football offers.

Waynesville senior-to-be Shen Butler-Lawson Jr. grabbed his first two offers on Monday — one coming from Purdue and the other from North Dakota.

Butler-Lawson made the announcements of his offers via Twitter on Monday.

Tigers head coach Joe Haynes told the News-Leader that Purdue running back coach Chris Barclay was in Waynesville early Monday morning to extend the offer.

Haynes said Mizzou, Missouri State, Northwest Missouri State, South Dakota State, Lindenwood and Ball State have all expressed interest in the tailback.
