Missouri State traveled to Columbus, Ohio to take on The Ohio State University, who are quickly becoming the Bears’ biggest rivals.
MSU quickly cemented their lead in the first set of the Sept. 1 matchup.
Junior MacKenzie Irwin had two strong blocks that led to a 4-0 stretch to give the Bears an 11-7 lead they maintained the rest of the set. The Buckeyes came within two points of the Bears twice but were ultimately unable to take the lead.
Another 4-0 run late in the set allowed MSU to comfortably arrive at the final score of 25-18.
