The Alamo Drafthouse is set to host a showing of “Voice Unbroken” with a live Q&A following on Thursday, Oct. 30. The 55-minute documentary will follow Art Hains’ story of being the longtime voice of the Missouri State Bears and the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network.

Nearly five decades of being in the MSU press box covering athletics, Hains’ journey has not been easy.

The Butterfly Road Productions documentary highlights Hains’ perseverance after he contracted the West Nile Virus. The virus ultimately left him paralyzed, but Hains’ refusal to give up demonstrated his deep love for broadcasting.
