A former All-Freshman SEC linebacker who has been touted as a player with NFL potential is transferring to Missouri State.
Vanderbilt linebacker Dimitri Moore tweeted Friday night that he will join the Bears. He will be eligible to play this upcoming season.
Moore entered the transfer portal in November and didn't play his final two games with the Commodores. He was reportedly being recruited by Baylor, Illinois, Kansas State, Kentucky, SMU, Texas Tech, Miami (Florida) and Wake Forest before ultimately picking Missouri State.
Moore, an NFL prospect and preseason Butkus Award candidate, made headlines when he opted out of the 2020 season after his grandfather's death from COVID-19, but then opted back in after gathering more information.
