Two brothers, one baseball dream, two paths to take

Two brothers share one baseball dream, and they are on two very different paths trying to reach it.

Left-handed pitcher Jacob Schlesener made headlines in July of 2015 when he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals with a reported signing bonus of $325,000. St. Louis chose the Rogersville pitcher in the 12th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft with the 371th overall pick.

Schlesener, 19, opted to turn professional and forgo pitching on scholarship at University of Arkansas.

Jacob Schlesener weighed his decision with his family, which includes catcher Ethan Schlesener, 22.
