The Bears sent freshman Asha Cave, senior Shavonne Husbands, sophomore Marissa Kurtimah and junior Holly Pattie-Belleli to represent Missouri State at Nationals. The quadron posted their second best time of the year in the semi-final round of the Championships with a time of 45.15 seconds.
“It’s always great to have players compete on such a big stage against the ‘big guys,’” head coach Ronald Boyce said. “It was really exciting to get the invitation, let alone to compete the way we did up there.”
Although the Bears were able to send representatives to the National stage in Eugene, Oregon, they were unable to complete their goal of winning the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship.
