'This is the start of something special': Parkview earns what it hopes is a program changing win

First-year Parkview head coach Ben Dougherty looked up at the student section late in his team's game Friday night against Kickapoo.

"Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" the student section sang. The coach smiled.

That song hasn't been sung a lot by the Parkview students at football games in the recent past. After Friday night's game, Dougherty thinks that's going to change.

Parkview defeated in-town rival Kickapoo 44-7 for the school's first win over the Chiefs since 2012.

In the postgame huddle, Dougherty told the team he had never been so proud to be the Vikings' coach.
