Though it’s highly doubtful members of the Missouri State football team were thinking of Dorothy’s legendary saying on Saturday, the Bears had to have been thinking it after defeating Murray State 28-21 for their first win of the season.
"This was obviously something we needed," head coach Dave Steckel said. "It was good, I thought the kids really played well as a team. They were very resilient and stuck together."
After being embarrassed in the first two games of the season, the Bears finally did what they were supposed to do: win.
